We are in the process of installing BI platform 4.1 and Data Services 4.2 (on different servers).
We would be utilising WebIntelligence primarily from the BI Platform.
As far as recommendation from SAP go, one should install IPS 4.1 + DS 4.x on separate servers from servers of BI Platform 4.x.
However, I would like to understand how exactly are both (BI and DS) related to each other when interacting with each other.
I already know about the architecture of DS 4.x (users, groups and repository access management has been made mandatory to be done in CMC).
If there are job schedules created in DS Managment Console using DS scheduler (not BOE scheduler), and if the CMC/CMS of associated BI Platform (which would be on another server) is down, will the existing job schedules keep triggering (given the fact that scheduling from DS scheduler creates a batch file and a corresponding AT schedule in Windows).
