Hello DS-Workbench Users,
we are using Data Services Workbench in common with SAP/Sybase IQ 16.
On regarding Data about any Data Viewer (in German Edition: Context-Menu "Daten anzeigen") it produces a lock with lock type "shared",
that isn't unlocked on closing that window, nor on closing the Project, neither on closing the workbench - also not about any timeout.
Only opening another data Viewer will unlock with the old Connection-id, but produces a new unrecoverable lock with a new Connection-id!?
It seems that this lock restrains DataServices Workbench Jobs accessing these locked tables in writing mode, although the lock is only "shared"?
The only "bad" possibilities to "unlock" is restarting the SybaseIQ-Service or dropping the connecting, causing inconsistent FP-Indices!?
Has someone any idea where to configure workbench - probably it's a "commit" which would help, but don't know where to check.
In IQ's tool "Interactive SQL" You can check an Option "commit after every statement" - is there something like that in the Workbench?
Or is there another Option, like in Interactive SQL (the better option), similar "Automatically release database locks".?
Any idea? Or is it a bug - we patched BODS some days ago with the newest Version.
