I'm facing a strange behavior with a Oracle11gR2 Dtb server.
First my server configuration :
- W2k8R2
- SAP BusinessObjects 4.0 (with Microsoft SQL Server 2008 for audit / cms)
- SAP Data Services 4.1 SP1 Patch 4.
During the installation, we installed both Oracle11gr2 32 & 64 Bits Clients and edited tnsnames & host files.
Now when i create my repository under Oracle dtb, or trying to create an Oracle datastore i'm facing fatal errors on Designer.
Most messages are :
- ORA-12547 TNS lost contact BODI-20006
- ORA-12571 TNS packet writer failure BODI-1111341
- ORA-12541 TNS no listener BODI-1112330
What is strange is that i can connect after a few tries. But i haven't this behavior with 3rd party tools like SQL navigator.
TNS ping command is more or less successfull, no pattern.
It seems like the TNS connection isn't persistent, because i've managed to create project & job on my repository : my issue is that i get disconnected and my job isn't writed on my repository.
Do you have some clues on how to investigate this error ?
Or do you have best practices concerning DataServices + Oracle with Oracle repository ? ( Variables , Path, ... )
