Upgrade of BODS Windows Server

Hi Experts,

Question:

we have BODS 4.2 and Information Steward 4.2 SP4 installed on Windows 2008 server. The DB is installed on another windows server.2008. The DB is MS SQL 2008.

The requirement is to Upgrade the Windows server from 2008 to 2012. Please let me know the steps that need to be followed to Upgrade Windows server.

Can we just upgrade the windows server from 2008 to 2012 ? Do I need to reinstall/configure DS and IS 4.2?

Kindly provide the inputs.
