I want to load the data into Sybase IQ database.
I want to load dimension tables and fact tables. I have gone through the technical manual If we are loading direct inserts means no need of staging table.
If we want to implement CDC ( dimension tables) we need to load into staging table and after implement updates ,inserts and deletes .
I am not clear in this point.
We have the source and we have the target . In the target table we are giving the bulk loading options .
Do we need to load the source data into staging table then staging table as source then load into the target.
If we are loading into the staging table means it will be another database or target database( Sybase IQ).
We are using bulk loading for performance but if we load into staging database complete data and after apply bulk load in the target means it will will degrade the performance right.
Please anyone help me how to build bulk load job for Sybase IQ for CDC( dimension tables)
