I'm trying to create a datasource on BusinessOBjects DataServices source system and it is failing when activating it.
I'm able to see all DS tables in "Extraction" tab of datasource.
All the fields of table are visible/imported into both "Proposal & Fields" tab of DataSource. Even with all these, system not letting me activate datasource.
I tried to follow procedure outlined in the long text of error message and still it didn't solve.
Long text of the error message is displayed below where BPC_ODBC.ACCOUNTS is the table name in DataServices.
Source object does not exist in repository. See long text
Message no. RSBOBJDS011
Diagnosis
Specified source object "*BPC_ODBC.ACCOUNTS" does not exist in the Data Services repository.
System Response
The DataSource cannot be activated.
Procedure
- 1. Switch to the Proposal tab and choose Request Structure Information to import the source object.
- 2. Check the spelling (uppercase/lowercase letters) of the source object. To do this, choose Imported Objects next to the source object in the Extraction tab. Enter the source object name with placeholders. For example, if you have specified 'DBO.Customer' as the source object, enter 'DBO.C* and choose the correct object ('DBO.CUSTOMER').
