Prerequisites - ABAP Dataflow

Hi,

I've gone through below links on ABAP dataflow. But wanted to know more about the user/setup configurations to be established in SAP and DS servers for successful execution. Also what are the standard procedures/best practices for migrating the ABAP code to higher environments ?
